McCollum hadn't done well against Southwest Legacy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The McCollum Cowboys came out on top in a nail-biter against the Southwest Legacy Titans, sneaking past 2-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Cowboys' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 731st, while the Titans are ranked 312th).

McCollum's win bumped their record up to 5-15. As for Southwest Legacy, they moved to 12-8 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
