There's no place like home for Irvington Preparatory Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils with a sharp 13-4 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Irvington Preparatory Academy, who have now won nine contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Jordan White tossed a big game, striking out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cortez Jenkins, who went 2-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Irvington Preparatory Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 10-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Aiden Pollock was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
