Volleyball Game Preview: Fremd Vikings vs. Fenton Bison

After both having extra time off, the Fremd Vikings and the Fenton Bison will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

Last Tuesday, Fremd didn't have quite enough to beat Palatine and fell 2-1. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pirates 25-18 in the first set.

Fremd actually scored more points across those three sets (73-70), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 18-25, 26-24, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Fenton narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Elgin 2-1. The Bison haven't had any issues with the Maroons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Fenton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 28-26, 25-20.

Fenton's victory bumped their record up to 15-18. As for Fremd, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-15 record this season.
