Softball Recap: Niskayuna Comes Up Short

Niskayuna blew Glens Falls out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Glens Falls got their revenge. The Silver Warriors fell just short of the Indians by a score of 6-4. That makes it the first time this season the Silver Warriors have let down their home crowd.

Niskayuna saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlin Neugebuaer, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That run marked the first that Neugebuaer has scored this season.

Niskayuna's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Glens Falls, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Niskayuna will square off against Columbia at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so the Silver Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Glens Falls, they are taking a road trip to square off against Queensbury at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
