Football Recap: Waterford Comes Up Short

Waterford entered their game against Elkhorn on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wolverines fell 30-24 to the Elks. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Elks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Waterford's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Elkhorn, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Waterford is set to square off against their familiar foe Union Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Elkhorn will face off against rival Burlington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
