Basketball Recap: Episcopal Comes Up Short

Episcopal was the 76-55 winner over Houston Christian when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Episcopal Knights took a 70-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Houston Christian Mustangs on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Knights came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Mustangs are ranked 324th).

Episcopal's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Houston Christian, they pushed their record up to 12-11 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Episcopal will welcome Kinkaid at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kinkaid has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 205 points over their last three matchups. As for Houston Christian, they will be playing at home against Village at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
