Baseball Recap: Lamar Consolidated Takes a Loss

Lamar Consolidated lost against Bellville back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lamar Consolidated Mustangs came up short against the Bellville Brahmas, falling 13-5.

Sam Johnson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikey Cuellar, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Lamar Consolidated's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bellville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Lamar Consolidated will be taking part in a tournament against Iowa Colony at 1:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Bellville, they will head out on the road to challenge Sweeny at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
