Baseball Recap: Hale Ray Takes a Loss

Hale Ray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Old Saybrook Rams. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Noises have suffered since May 9, 2024.

Hale Ray's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Old Saybrook, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Hale Ray will square off against Coginchaug Regional at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Old Saybrook, they will venture away from home to square off against Portland at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Highlanders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.75 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
