Softball Game Preview: Eastern Lebanon County Raiders vs. West York Area Bulldogs

The Eastern Lebanon County Raiders will challenge the West York Area Bulldogs at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eastern Lebanon County has six straight wins, West York Area has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Eastern Lebanon County barely beat Annville-Cleona the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Eastern Lebanon County was the clear victor by a 17-2 margin over Annville-Cleona on Monday. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, West York Area lost 14-4 to Susquehannock on Monday.

Kayleigh Becker was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Shelby Stough also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Eastern Lebanon County's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for West York Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
