Volleyball Recap: Southeast Guilford Has No Trouble Against Trinity

After losing to Trinity the last time they met, Southeast Guilford decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Falcons blew past the Bulldogs 3-0 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

The victory didn't come easy: Trinity scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-24, 25-23.

Trinity's loss came despite strong showings from Avalynn Johnson and Charlee Phillips. Johnson had 20 assists, while Phillips had nine digs and three assists. Johnson has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 27 times she's played.

Southeast Guilford's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast Guilford will head out to square off against Ragsdale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trinity, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Leadership Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
