Basketball Recap: Edison Beats South Plainfield for Their Third Straight Win

Edison waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-36 victory over the South Plainfield Tigers. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 48-43 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Edison's record now sits at 3-1. As for South Plainfield, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edison will take on Metuchen in a holiday battle at at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. As for South Plainfield, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Spotswood at 5:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
