Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hollins). They blew past the Sarasota Military Academy Eagles, posting a 69-23 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Royals also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Hollins' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alem Custic, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 18 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Custic a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Darrell O'Conner, who posted 15 points along with five assists and three steals.

Hollins was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Hollins' win ended an eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14. As for Sarasota Military Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Hollins wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-51 defeat against Steinbrenner on the 3rd. Sarasota Military Academy has also already played their next game, a 45-29 loss against Bayshore Christian on the 31st.
