Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Madawaska walked away with it. They had just enough and edged the Dexter Tigers out 54-52. The 54-point effort marked the Owls' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Despite the loss, Dexter still got an impressive performance from Bryce Cooper, who went 9-for-16 on his way to 22 points and three steals. Cooper is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games he's played. Isiah Robinson was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Madawaska's record is now 21-1. As for Dexter, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.

Looking ahead, Madawaska will face off against Calais at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calais will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Madawaska surely won't give up without a fight. Dexter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
