Baseball Recap: Franklin County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Fleming on Monday, Franklin County came back down to earth. The Eagles fell 8-5 to the Patrick Henry Patriots on Tuesday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 9-2.

Franklin County dropped their record down to 11-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Patrick Henry, their win ended an 11-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin County will head out to challenge William Byrd at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Patrick Henry, they will venture away from home to square off against Pulaski County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
