Hays starts season with victory at home

Recap: Hays vs. Great Bend
Hays gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Great Bend Panthers by a score of 3-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Hays was the better team in the second half.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Kinslee Newell and
Keira Wagstaff, who scored all three of Hays' goals.
This is the second loss in a row for Great Bend and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
