Football Game Preview: North Saxons vs. Peninsula Panthers + Official Tickets

The North Saxons will venture away from home to square off against the Peninsula Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

North is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Redondo Union on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Saxons were dealt a 34-7 loss at the hands of the Sea Hawks. The game marked the Saxons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Peninsula fell victim to Torrance and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Tartars 31-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 561st, while the Tartars are ranked 147th).

Peninsula's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Everything came up roses for North against Peninsula when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 35-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saxons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
