Football Game Preview: Oliver Springs vs. Sunbright

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Oliver Springs. On Friday they take on Sunbright at 7:30 PM. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous games.

It was all tied up at the half for Oliver Springs and Harriman last Friday, but Oliver Springs stepped up in the second half. Oliver Springs snuck past Harriman with a 20-14 win. Senior Mason Hill was the offensive standout of the match for Oliver Springs, as he rushed for 130 yards and 1 touchdown. Hill has now scored at least one touchdown in the past 6 games.

Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout in their game two weeks ago against Wartburg Central, Sunbright were happy to find some success. Sunbright captured a comfortable 28-8 victory over Oakdale. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Sunbright as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Everything went Oliver Springs' way against Sunbright the last time the two teams met as they made off with a 51-18 win. Will Oliver Springs repeat their success, or does Sunbright have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
