Mt. Pleasant waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Powers Catholic Chargers get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The Oilers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Chargers, too.

Mt. Pleasant's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Powers Catholic, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mt. Pleasant will face off against rival Heritage at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Powers Catholic is set to take on their familiar foe Bay City Western at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
