Northview dropped down to 7-3 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 11-0 to the Bloomington South Panthers. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

As for Bloomington South, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games.

For Bloomington South's part, Xavier Hemingway looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hemingway has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bloomington South let Connor Couch and Reid Walker run wild. Couch went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Walker went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two runs gave Couch a new career-high. Max Surdam was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
