Basketball Recap: Vernon Hills Comes Up Short

Vernon Hills lost against Highland Park back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vernon Hills Cougars fell 45-33 to the Highland Park Giants.

Vernon Hills has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Highland Park, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

Vernon Hills will square off against Hoffman Estates at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Highland Park, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lake View at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lake View will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Highland Park surely won't give up without a fight.
