Volleyball Recap: West Laurens Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West Laurens lost against Statesboro back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Raiders fell 2-0 to the Blue Devils.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-7.

Leah Wells paced West Laurens' offense, picking up two kills. Wells got some help from Skylar Fountain and her three assists. Fountain was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

West Laurens has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-20 record this season. As for Statesboro, their win bumped their record up to 27-14.

Coincidentally, West Laurens and Statesboro will both be playing Islands the next time they take the court. The Raiders will host the Sharks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Blue Devils will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
