For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Saugatuck and Martin have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Trailblazers had just enough and edged out the Clippers 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trailblazers have posted since May 14, 2024.

Jaxon Green and Cass Stanberry did most of the damage at the plate: Green earned two runs and four stolen bases, while Stanberry went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave Green a new career-high. Kevin VanDam also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Saugatuck now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Martin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Saugatuck will challenge Calvary at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Martin, they will take on Gobles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
