It was a good run, but Fredericktown unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Cardington-Lincoln Pirates by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-2 on April 2nd.

Fredericktown's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Cardington-Lincoln, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Fredericktown wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Centerburg on the 28th. As for Cardington-Lincoln, they have also already played their next contest, an 18-0 victory against Mt. Gilead on the 28th.
