Mission Bay is a perfect 3-0 against Hilltop since September of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Buccaneers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lancers at 6:00 p.m. The last three games Mission Bay has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Thursday, Mission Bay didn't have quite enough to beat University City and fell 3-2.

Mission Bay started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-17, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Hilltop unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against Olympian, falling 3-0.

Hilltop took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18, 27-25.

Mission Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 18-15. As for Hilltop, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 20-10.

Mission Bay was able to grind out a solid victory over Hilltop in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, winning 2-0. Will the Buccaneers repeat their success, or do the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
