Football Game Preview: Nease Panthers vs. Beachside Barracudas

The Nease Panthers will challenge the Beachside Barracudas at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nease will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.

Beachside's offense is going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Nease hadn't allowed a single point the last three times they've hit the field. The Panthers claimed a resounding 36-0 win over Tocoi Creek. Considering the Panthers have won four contests by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Beachside posted their closest victory since October 4, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Orange Park 31-28. Given the Barracudas' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Raiders are ranked 235th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Nease's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Beachside, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything went Nease's way against Beachside in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as Nease made off with a 42-20 victory. In that matchup, the Panthers amassed a halftime lead of 28-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
