Strasburg-Franklin won the last time they faced Newcomerstown and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers blew past the Trojans 3-0.

Strasburg-Franklin walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-14, 25-18.

Strasburg-Franklin can attribute much of their success to Ella Gilkerson, who had ten digs and two aces. What's more, Gilkerson posted three assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

Gilkerson wasn't the only good server: Strasburg-Franklin was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in four consecutive games.

Strasburg-Franklin now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Newcomerstown, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Strasburg-Franklin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Buckeye Trail on the 28th. Newcomerstown has also already played their next contest (against East Knox), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
