Softball Recap: Marshall Finds Home Field Redemption Against Sloan-Hendrix

There's no place like home for Marshall, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 victory over the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bobcats considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Marshall pushed their record up to 3-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Sloan-Hendrix, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Coming up, Marshall will take on Quitman at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sloan-Hendrix, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Izard County at 3:30 p.m.
