Recap: Patterson Mill vs. Rising Sun Tigers

Patterson Mill lost against the Rising Sun Tigers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Patterson Mill fell 57-46 to Rising Sun. While losing is never fun, Patterson Mill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Rising Sun is ranked 20th).

When it comes to explaining why Patterson Mill lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kiley Wilhelm. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of sophia trinh, who scored six points.

Rising Sun got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Allison Stoudt out in front who scored 11 points along with seven steals. Stoudt is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jordan Lynch, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Patterson Mill and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Rising Sun, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Patterson Mill will be home for the holidays to greet Overlea at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rising Sun, they will head out on the road to face off against Havre de Grace at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Havre de Grace focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Monday.
