Basketball Game Preview: Hilton Cadets vs. Brighton Bruins

The Hilton Cadets will face off against the Brighton Bruins at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hilton comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Hilton came up short against Penfield on Wednesday, falling 61-40. While losing is never fun, the Cadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 543rd, while the Patriots are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Brighton came into Wednesday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Spencerport by a score of 65-53 on Wednesday.

Brighton's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Hilton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Hilton came out on top in a nail-biter against Brighton when the teams last played back in January of 2024, sneaking past 94-91. Will Hilton repeat their success, or does Brighton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
