Basketball Recap: Avon Finds Home Court Redemption Against Andes Central/Dakota Christian

There's no place like home for Avon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 45-38 victory over Andes Central/Dakota Christian on Thursday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Pirates' disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while Andes Central/Dakota Christian are ranked 19th).

Avon's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Andes Central/Dakota Christian, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3.

Avon has already played their next game (against Burke), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Andes Central/Dakota Christian will square off against Viborg/Hurley at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Viborg/Hurley will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Andes Central/Dakota Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
