Football Recap: Clark Chargers vs. Durango Trailblazers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bonanza, Clark was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 28-12 win over the Durango Trailblazers. That's more bragging rights for the Chargers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Clark was led to victory by Tianna Griffith and Taedyn Parks. Griffith gained 158 total yards and two touchdowns, while Parks threw for 197 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most passing yards Parks has posted since back in December of 2023. A healthy portion of Parks' aerial production (87 yards to be exact) went to Annika Griffith, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Yarih Carrillo and Taylor Anderson certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Carrillo rushed for 83 yards on only ten carries, while Anderson picked up 105 receiving yards and one touchdown. Anderson was even better on defense, picking up a sack, making nine total tackles, and defending four passes in addition to snagging an interception which she returned one-yard for a touchdown.
Clark's record now sits at 6-15. As for Durango, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Clark will head out on the road to square off against Mojave at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Mojave's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Clark has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Durango has already played their next game (against Amplus Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
