Soccer Recap: PikeView Takes a Loss

PikeView lost against Greenbrier East back in September of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers came up short against the Spartans, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, PikeView can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Greenbrier East are ranked ninth).

PikeView has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's still a better percentage than their 3-15-1 record this season. As for Greenbrier East, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2-1.

PikeView does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greenbrier East, they will face off against Nicholas County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Greenbrier East's defense better be ready for this one: Nicholas County have averaged an impressive 2.8 goals per game this season.
