Massachusetts High School Football Rankings

Who's up and who's down

There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. We'll tackle that and more in this week's report.

No Stoppin 'Em

There were a lot of high-scoring contests in the power rankings last week, but the 75-point effort in this one put it right at the top of the list. St. John's breezed past St. Peter-Marian with a final score of 49 - 26. Nevertheless, St. John's did not have enough punch to impress the power rankings algorithm and slipped one spot in the rankings.

Next Week's Big Game

If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Catholic Memorial (6th in the power rankings) and St. John's Prep (1st). St. John's Prep will be sulking in after a defeat while Catholic Memorial will strut in boosted by a win. St. John's Prep has never lost back-to-back this season, but Catholic Memorial hopes to show it that there is a first time for everything.
