Basketball Recap: Five Straight Road Victories for Bloomsburg

After losing to Hughesville the last time they met, Bloomsburg decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bloomsburg Panthers took down the Hughesville Spartans 64-47 on Wednesday. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Spartans are ranked 655th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bloomsburg's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3. As for Hughesville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Bloomsburg Panthers duke it out with the Southern Columbia Area Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hughesville, they will face off against Loyalsock Township at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
