Softball Game Preview: West Fork Spartans vs. Osage Green Devils

The West Fork Spartans will head out to face off against the Osage Green Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, West Fork was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Ansgar, taking the game 5-2. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Saints: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Osage is still undefeated this season after their matchup against Waverly-Shell Rock on Friday, but Waverly-Shell Rock came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Green Devils skirted past the Go-Hawks 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Green Devils have posted since July 9, 2025.

Osage's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for West Fork, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

West Fork got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in June of 2025 against Osage by a conclusive 7-1 score. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Green Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
