Volleyball Recap: Mount Miguel Gets the Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mount Miguel had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Coastal Academy Stingrays by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Matadors.

Coastal Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Camille Gastelum and Hannah Huffman. Gastelum had eight digs and two aces, while Huffman had 12 digs and two assists. Gastelum is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Mount Miguel's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Coastal Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-22.

Looking ahead, Mount Miguel will head out to take on O'Farrell Charter at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Coastal Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
