Basketball Recap: Kenesaw Falls Despite Big Games from Adam Denkert and Maddox Wagoner

Kenesaw lost against Alma back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Kenesaw Blue Devils fell just short of the Alma Cardinals by a score of 47-45. The match was a 24-24 toss-up at halftime, but the Blue Devils couldn't quite close it out.

Kenesaw's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Maddox Wagoner, who went 6 of 15 en route to 20 points, and Adam Denkert, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Tucker Biskup was a one-man wrecking crew for Alma as he went 6 of 11 on his way to 16 points and seven boards. That's the most rebounds Biskup has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Davis, who posted nine points and five assists.

Kenesaw's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Alma, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Kenesaw will welcome Shelton at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. As for Alma, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-38 defeat against Elm Creek on the 10th.
