Softball Recap: Berwick Takes a Loss

Berwick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 12-7 to the Central Catholic Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-12 back in March.

Ann Marie Beadle made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one RBI. Jordyn Gaudet was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Berwick's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Central Catholic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Berwick wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 23-3 win against Erath on the 7th. As for Central Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-7 defeat against Covenant Christian Academy on the 7th.
