Basketball Recap: Ansonia Takes a Loss

Ansonia played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Crosby Bulldogs 78-49. The Chargers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-24.

Crosby got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cj Mcrae out in front who went 6 of 15 en route to 20 points. Another player making a difference was Nevin Kinsey, who went 8 for 19 on his way to 18 points along with five assists and four steals.

Ansonia's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Crosby, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Ansonia will face off against St. Paul Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ansonia is facing St. Paul Catholic at the right time seeing as St. Paul Catholic is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
