Basketball Recap: Tower Hill Falls Short Against Ranked Hodgson Vo-Tech

On Saturday, Tower Hill faced Hodgson Vo-Tech in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Tower Hill Hillers took a 55-36 bruising from the Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles.

It was another big night for Hope Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine steals for Hodgson Vo-Tech. The dominant performance gave Smith a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamree Tucker, who went 6 for 11 en route to 13 points and three steals.

Tower Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tower Hill will welcome St. Andrew's at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Andrew's will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Tower Hill surely won't give up without a fight. Hodgson Vo-Tech has already played their next match (against Red Lion Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
