Green Mountain has no trouble against Twin Valley

The Green Mountain Chieftains lost to the Twin Valley Wildcats back in December of 2023, but the Green Mountain Chieftains didn't allow the Twin Valley Wildcats the same satisfaction on Thursday. Everything went Green Mountain's way against Twin Valley as Green Mountain made off with a 54-28 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Green Mountain.

Twin Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brayden Brown, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals. Brown scored a full 35.7% of Twin Valley's points, the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Magnant, who scored six points along with six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Twin Valley were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Green Mountain's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Twin Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Green Mountain will take on Leland & Gray at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Twin Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rivendell Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Rivendell Academy is ranked 33rd in New Hampshire, while Twin Valley is ranked 30th in Vermont).
