Lexington dropped their record down to 18-3 on Monday, which also ended the team's nine-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the North Augusta Yellow Jackets by a score of 4-3. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

As for North Augusta, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since March 8th.

For North Augusta's part, Eleanor Brummond spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up seven Ks. With that strong performance, Brummond is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game.
