Grants is 9-1 against Valencia since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pirates will take on the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. Grants' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Valencia's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Valencia will be up against a hot Grants squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Pirates came out on top against Taos by a score of 6-1 on Monday.

Meanwhile, Valencia lost 22-11 to Belen on Tuesday.

Pryce Henry made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Vigil, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Grants' win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Valencia, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-12.

Grants took their victory against Valencia in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 25-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
