#MPTopPlays gets early start this weekend with gem from Florida.

Back in 1984, Doug Flutie of Boston College authored the original ‘Miracle in Miami' with a Haily Mary pass to beat Jimmy Johnson's Hurricanes in the Orange Bowl.

Thursday night back in Miami, high school freshman quarterback Anthony Cordovi and junior wide receiver Steven Stallings of Braddock helped provide an updated version of the iconic play.

Trailing 24-21 to Coral Reef (Miami) with seconds to go and 63 yards away from the end zone, Cordovi threw all 5-foot-10, 145 pounds of himself into a pass – then got some help from the defense.

The ball was tipped by Coral Reef at the 35-yard line, secured by Stallings and taken to the house.

Braddock wins 27-24.

Let the video roll to watch the Bulldogs celebrate their first win of the season.
