Basketball Recap: Bishop Walsh Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Bishop Walsh, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They managed a 42-38 win over the Bloomfield Christian School Defenders on Wednesday. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 212th in Maryland, while the Defenders are ranked 534th in Michigan), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Bloomfield Christian School lost, don't look at Heidi Jeromin. Despite the final result, she shot 40% from the field en route to 18 points and four steals. That was a full 47.4% of Bloomfield Christian School's points, marking the fourth time in a row Jeromin has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Lexi Ruma, who scored eight points.

Bishop Walsh's record is now 6-15. As for Bloomfield Christian School, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-11.
