Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Gets the Win

Lafayette won the last time they faced Parkway North and things went their way on Saturday too. The Lancers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Vikings. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lancers.

Lafayette had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-23, 25-17.

Patrick Riordan paced Lafayette's offense, picking up 11 kills. Riordan got some help from Ethan Tran and his 22 assists. Riordan was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Despite the loss, Parkway North still got an impressive performance from Dhanvin Patel, who had seven digs and two aces.

Lafayette's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Parkway North, they dropped their record down to 14-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Lafayette has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Marquette on the 29th. As for Parkway North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Hazelwood West on the 29th.
