Basketball Recap: Glasgow Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Poplar

On Friday, Glasgow faced Poplar in a battle between two of the state's top teams. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Glasgow Scotties made off with a 45-44 victory over the Poplar Indians. The win was familiar territory for the Scotties who have now won four contests in a row.

Glasgow's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Poplar, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Fairview the next time they take the court. Poplar will head out to face Fairview at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Glasgow will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on January 25th.
