Soccer Recap: Columbus vs. Lakeside Lutheran
Tuesday just wasn't the day for Columbus's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Lakeside Lutheran Warriors on Tuesday. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-4-1 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus will face off against Mayville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Columbus is facing Mayville at the right time seeing as Mayville is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they are on the road again on Thursday to play McFarland at 7:00 p.m. McFarland will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Lakeside Lutheran surely won't give up without a fight.
