            Baseball Preview: Norwell Knights vs. Huntington North Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            The Norwell Knights will head out to  challenge the Huntington North Vikings  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Norwell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4  runs per game  this season.
On Wednesday, Norwell didn't have quite enough to beat Fort Wayne Snider and fell  5-4.
 Norwell saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Noah Turk, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double. Another  was  Will Case, who  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with one  RBI.
Meanwhile,  Huntington North unfortunately witnessed the end of their  ten-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of DeKalb by a score of  5-3.
 Huntington North also got a good showing from  Caiden Pohler, who   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Pohler has been consistent for a while: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time he's  pitched this season.
 Norwell has  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record  this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the  defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Huntington North, their  loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-5.
 Everything went Norwell's way against Huntington North in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024, as Norwell made off with  a  13-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
