Basketball Recap: Negreet Piles Up the Points Against Stanley

Negreet won the last time they faced Stanley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Negreet Indians breezed by the Stanley Panthers to the tune of 44-9. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Panthers are ranked 212th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Negreet's victory bumped their record up to 15-13. As for Stanley, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.

Negreet has already played their next matchup, a 53-36 win against Pickering on the 31st. As for Stanley, they will challenge Hornbeck at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hornbeck has three straight victories, Stanley has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
